- 2 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon or vanilla extract
- 8 slices Pepperidge Farm® Farmhouse™ Oatmeal Bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup (optional)
Beat the eggs, milk, sugar and cinnamon in an 8x8x2-inch baking dish with a fork or whisk. Add the bread slices in batches and turn to coat.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the bread slices in batches and cook until they’re browned on both sides, adding more butter if needed during cooking. Serve with the syrup, if desired.
